The Band

There could not be a more perfect artist to play the part of Tom Petty than Lance List. Lance has been playing guitar since he was a young man performing Christian music and harmonizing with his sister. A popular, well known musician around DFW playing characters in several popular tribute bands including the part of Lindsey Buckingham of FleetwoodX, Tribute to Fleetwood Mac and Troublemakers, Tribute To Weezer, Lance has the unique ability to get inside the character he mimics nailing the vocal inflections, mannerisms and stage persona of these artists! His extensive experience as a front man and ability to read the mood of his audience brings an authenticity and joyful experience to American Petty!
Andy Long - aka: Mike Campbell

Growing up in Alabama and cutting his teeth on stages playing lead guitar all over California, the role of covering Mike Campbell is a natural fit for Andy. Having seen Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers numerous times over the years, Andy fell in love with The Heartbreakers live presentation of their biggest hits, deep tracks and covers. Having a deep respect for the beautifully crafted songs along with Mike Campbell's internationally recognized guitar tone and ability to play the perfect note at the perfect time, Andy relentlessly strives to execute Mike Campbell's musical sensibilities, tone and stage persona to give the audience an experience they will never forget! You will also see Andy performing regularly around DFW with other popular tributes FleetwoodX, Dreams Unwind and Little Skynyrd. He also plays lead guitar at Grace Point Family Church.
Steve Cramer - aka: Benmont Tench

As a founding member of American Petty, Steve comes nothing short of NAILING the incredible keyboard parts played by Benmont Tench keyboardist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers! Having decades of experience covering every style of music imaginable from Blues, Country, Rock, RnB, Soul, Disco you name it Steve has covered it with authenticity and feel so reminiscent of Benmont's style that if you closed your eyes you couldn't tell the difference. Without Steve's feel on keys along with the iconic piano and organ parts and his background harmonies American Petty would not have that authentic Tom Petty sound!! Some of his former bands include Chemistry, Champainge Blonde, The Mix and so many others. Currently he is playing with Dempsey Crenshaw (DC and the Capitols) and Bad Attitude. But American Petty is still his number one band.
Tull Rea - aka: Stan Lynch/Steve Feroni

Tull is the most recent addition to the American Petty lineup and yet another musician born, bred and built to play the parts of both Stan Lynch, founding drummer of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Steve Feroni who served as Petty's longest reigning drummer! Tull, also being an extemely talented multi instrumentalist and lead vocalist in his own right brings not just amazing drumming abilities, but also a musicality to his peformance that can only come from a drummer who is well versed in other supporting instruments. Also being a lead vocalist in his band Stereo Lounge, Tull brings natural harmony to Lance and Rusty's vocals as Stan Lynch would have sang but with the feriocious drum chops of Steve Feroni!!
Chris Moran - aka: Ron Blair

Joining American Petty in early 2024, Chris rounded out the updated line up for American Petty and quickly became the musical glue holding down the American Petty rhythm section! By channeling the laid-back vibe of Ron Blair he brings that essential Heartbreakers authenticity to the American Petty stage night after night! His blend of thick bass chops and vocal harmonies ensures the rhythm section hits with the same precision as the original and live recordings! Chris is a “First Call” musician in the DFW music scene working with American Petty, Dreams Unwind - Tribute to Stevie Nicks and Heartbreaker Tribute to Pat Benatar.
On occasion American Petty will have their little sister and powerhouse vocalist Lori Carlyle perform with them as

the one and only Stevie Nicks! Lori is a very well respected and popular singer performing around DFW for many years. Lori leads a couple bands playing the role of Stevie Nicks including her own band Dreams Unwind and FleetwoodX as well as the lead vocalist of the nationally recognized yacht rock band, Champagne Yacht Club. Lori is so convincing as Stevie Nicks that many who don’t know her personally believes she is the “Queen of Rock and Roll” herself!!
